RULES & INFORMATION: Registration is limited to 25 participants. This competition is open to all Auctioneers over the age of 18. The top four scores will move to the Final Round, PLUS one Judge’s Wild Card pick. All contestants will compete together with no separate divisions. Contestants will be judged according to the Texas Lone Star Open scorecard. The decision of the judges is final. The order of the contestants will be established by random draw during the MANDATORY meeting at 3:30 PM. Attendance is mandatory at the Sunday meeting and contestants must be dressed and ready to compete. Contestants must have items checked in by 3:00 PM. Contestants not present at the contestant meeting by 3:30 PM will be ineligible and fees non-refundable. The finalists scores will start new in the Final Round. Contest will be videoed and livestreamed. (Rules and information subject to change.) ITEMS: Contestants must provide two items with a suggested retail value of $100 each. Items for final round: Three items will be provided for each finalist by TAA.
PROMOTION DEADLINE: To be included in the printed and online catalog, you MUST send registration and maximum 25-word picture/description of each preliminary item by JAN 4. Information received after JAN 4 will not be included in the catalog.ALL CONTESTANTS WILL RECEIVE: FREE listing in the online and printed catalog and video access of competition.
REGISTRATION FEES: Registration is $500 through Dec. 30, 2022. Registration is $600 December 31- January 23, 2023. No entries will be accepted after January 23, 2023. *Fees are non-refundable after Dec. 30, 3022.
